Meet Our Staff
We have a complete staff of dedicated employees with years of machining experience. This staff makes it possible to do all the work in-house under RMI supervision.
John Pawloski
John Pawloski is the founder and lead designer at Rolling Motion Industries. Since 2008 John has spent countless hours researching and perfecting the traction drive. John has grown up around machining and is now an owner of Jewelers Machinist Co., which is a company started by his grandfather in 1947. Having a machinist background he has personally overseen every aspect of the development and prototyping stage since the beginning. With the support of his family and the help of others, he has been able to successfully grow RMI into the company it is today.
Raymond Pawloski
Ray Pawloski graduated from Stony Brook University with a B.S. and is an owner at Jewelers Machinist Co. He has been overseeing the business side of RMI through the years. With his financial and managerial skills, he has been able to focus the company on successful product completions. He has made several connections and has helped with the production of inventory throughout the years. Ray focuses on the future and keeps RMI moving forward.

Joseph F. Paterson
Joe is a Manufacturing – Procurement Engineer with over forty years of experience in bringing new technologies from concept to production. He is working with the Design Engineers to make a reliable, cost-effective end product which requires experience and vision. Joe worked on the New Product Development Team at Kenworth Truck Company for many years. He helped with break through technologies in liquid metal cooling for military electronics applications and accepted the challenge of Traction Drives in 2006.
Joe has been working on sourcing and supplier development on a global level to help drive the technology forward for many years. He encompasses all aspects of Traction Drives from design to applications. Joe serves as an Engineering Resource for many of the companies currently taking designs into production globally and is very well known in the industry. He works with suppliers globally in the manufacturing of the components and is familiar with the exotic materials and processes (all the way back to the steel alloys required to build durable, high-performance drives).
Lawrence Weber, PhD
(On Behalf of the Center for Advanced Technology in Diagnostic Tools and Sensor Systems)
Dr. Weber is an entrepreneur and commercialization professional that maintains various startups. Lawrence earned a Ph.D. in physical chemistry at Michigan State University and has won post-doctoral fellowships supporting his research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Through the Sensor CAT program at Stony Brook University, Dr. Weber offers his guidance to RMI with business and technology plans.
Anthony Acampora
Anthony is the Partner-In-Charge of the Silverman Acampora LLP. He earned his B.A. from Fordham University and J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Anthony advises RMI on corporate governance, business responsibilities, and other business-related issues.
George Likourezos
George is a partner and patent attorney at Carter, DeLuca, Farrell & Schmidt, LLP in Melville, NY. George has earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and M.S. in Operations Management from NYU-Polytechnic Institute. He has a J.D. degree from The Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center of Touro College. He has expertise in the fields of electrical and electromechanical designs. George advises RMI on intellectual property issues and licensing opportunities.
James P. Howe, Jr.
Jimmy Howe is a friend and trusted advisor to the Pawloski brothers. With a unique perspective, Jimmy proudly wears the label of “Industry Outsider” and offers opinions and ideas about concepts. As a Criminal Investigator with experience in the public and private sectors, Jimmy brings the same attention to detail to RMI that he brings to the communities he serves, which has resulted in the successful prosecution of countless high profile, criminal cases. Jimmy advises RMI in the areas of communications and operations.
T Reg Forbus, PhD
Dr. Forbus graduated from Auburn University with a BS degree in Chemistry and from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. He began his career in Mobil Oil’s Central Research Labs in 1980, transitioning into Exxon-Mobil with the merger in 1999 and then on to Valvoline in 2003 as Chief Scientist. In 2010 he assumed his current position as CTO and President-Lubricants of Santolubes, the original elastohydrodynamic traction fluid company. He has spent his entire career in all aspects of lubricants technology, including base oil processing and synthetic lubricants technology, and lubrication sciences. In 1984 he began a program within Mobil on elastohydrodynamic traction fluids which he has carried on throughout his career. He has worked and still works with most of the companies around the world on fluid technology for elastohydrodynamic traction drives and is considered the foremost authority on this unique highly-specialized technology. He holds 26 US patents and an array of International patents mainly on lubricant base oil processing, lubricant base oil technologies, lubricant additives technologies and lubricant products formulation technologies. He is also the author of 14 technical publications.
